[QUOTE=jfivester;1883]Hello Jimmy V,
Thank you for this thread. YES GS4 will be 64bit will support Core 2, and support Vista. GVI is faster than the current GS3 because it is the new Giga code. The future of Giga is stong, you will see the years of R&D will be paying off, we at TASCAM are excited and we will make GigaStudio even stronger, faster and better than ever. We have a meeting with the Creamware team so I will keep you posted on those developments.
Thank you for your support

The Mac PCI-e cards will be exciting, but this quote is what I'm interested in. It's nice to know that when you upgrade, what you will be upgrading to.
My 2008 dream is Solaris hardware w/ SonicCore PCI-e, and GSIF 2.0 drivers, and 64bit support.
Then I can use 1 DAW and quit getting hernias moving my SKB Main Battle Tank around to gigs.
What happens to our 3rd party developers that used DP cards, will they be allowed to develop custom stuff still, or will we be @ SonicCore's mercy and wait for what they think is needed?
So Many Questions, And Plenty Of Time, This makes me feel good, as I can see ahead and plan for once.
Peace,
Sonic Core and Tascam Discussions
What stuff in particular are you inferring to Brotha' Man Valis ? I trust what John Bowen says, he always lays it on the line, and I surely trust the Tascam team as they dropped the ball so bad w/ Giga 2 years ago, that had to assign a new design team, which has done an excellent job w/ GVI, It's twice the power of Gigastudio. I have beta tested many new libraries from developers there, and they are definately on fire.
