I´m thinking about using my labtop for my scope card.. anybody done this before?
maybe by using a pcmcia to pci converter?
or a usb to pci converter?
-will you loose too much pci bandwith?

it can be done.
a laptop will do much less work. i'd rackmount a desktop pc if you need to travel a lot.
