new Lexicon hardware
I love Lexicon's Algo's. They are in a league of their own like Creamware, Zarg.
The MX400 was made 4 SFP, I am anxious to hear the 500. The cheap hardware Lexicons are pretty much a joke, except for a couple of presets in the ambience category. But they are once again on the verge. These little beauties will hopefully help all of the SFP guys out by giving them high quality effects w/o PCI saturation. That's why I still uise multiple hardware FX w/ SFP Live.
The MX500 should be w/o any equals if they have kept the pride of Lexicon going. They were the first to put reverb / FX into computers, but I was shocked @ how weak Nu Verb sounded, and their PCI PCM90 solution was a fatal move. But they had the balls to try it. They were just 10 years too early. The Mac's actually sounded O.K. w/ Pro Tools 1 and Nu Verb. But I have had everything they made for years, and could not be swayed from using them on keyboards, and vocals.

now its officially:
http://www.lexiconpro.com/ProductDetail ... ductID=146
it can stream audio directly through fireware, interesting solution....
They know why they don`t wanna port their high-class algos into VST...
And I am sure its not processing power.
Still an interesting product.
I think they will also port their lex PCM91 with this firewire feature...
integration is the future.

I integrate the PCM91 now, but only because one of the boards is the Plus version. The DAS mixer will use this, the MPX550, and maybe the RMX160. I use the awesome ambiemce algo's, and the vocal plates as they are incredibly rich, and add no colorization to the original signal. They are like Creamware, they already have the most important part down, the algos, it's finding and maintaining your entry into the consumer electronics market, where everyone gets FAT. Creamware and Lexicon make an awesome combination, like Bowen Synths and SpaceF FX. Now there is the definition of the word analogy.
