Hello to everybody! I am an old creamware user of the pulsar II card whithout the Z-link. I want to buy the A16 interface to connect it with firewire to my macbook pro.
Is it possible to have a macbook pro with an A16 interface and a pc with pulsar II card and have them interacting with each other. I am thinking of having the macbook as the main sequencer and the pc as slave. Please give me some help!

Re: Macbook pro with A16 interface and pc with pulsar II car
the a16 (the non-ultra version) has analog i/o and adat only.thaneco wrote:Hello to everybody! I am an old creamware user of the pulsar II card whithout the Z-link. I want to buy the A16 interface to connect it with firewire to my macbook pro.

the a16ultra has (in addition to the above) z-link interfaces, which is NOT firewire, even if the cable and connector is physical 6-pin ieee1394.
you might get yourself a scope project with z-link or a scope home with adat expansion (since this incorporates a second z-link port) to connect the a16u to the pc. to connect the converter to the mac it would need an adat interface.
other people that have routing schemes between mac and pc ready might give you hints how to do this (I have no mac).
