I once posted this again but had no replies except for a free plugin which was not right for my taste...
Is it so difficult to make a dedicated synth for analog lush strings dedicated to ?
Not just a synth that can do some strings but just a string machine...

IMO Saturn, in both Roland or Oberheim setting tones, is capable of very convincing vintage analog strings...
Just place some softclips, enhancer like LE-1 or similar after the synth output.
Do you really need a dedicate string machine?

Thanks.
I will try but dedicated devices are a great arsenal of tools.
I could imagine a simple string machine with cuttof ,resonance attack decay and release and that is much needed.
You could choose the waveform from the two oscillators and thats all.
For effect a nice chorus/flanger would be a welcome too.

There's some string patches available, depending on your taste you may like them - run a search for "string" in modular patches forum...

Did you ever try
this Modular string machine?
Also there are some very good '70s string machine samples available at a site a frequent,
dubsounds sampled by real geeks - you'll need to add some phaser for the full lushness. i personally own the RS-505, Rs-202 and VP-330 samples.
