Iam thinking about buying the vocodizer but I have the original Pulsar card (with 4 dsp's). Does anyone know If I have the power to run it on my system? Also, Ive read lots of nice things about the Orbitone vorb. Is it worth the extra money, compared to the Vocodizer, and also how's it on the dspload...?
Any help would be highly and very very appreciated.

Vorb has roughly the same DSP load as a 1 voice Minimax
it may have problems with dual CPUs, according to Valis experience
(near the bottom of the page)

I never saw it as a 'typical' vocoder (of course it can do these), but as an individual approach to sound processing.
Very good, very 'analogish' (to my ears), which is kind of amusing, as the soundscapes themselves have a fairly artificial touch.
This is exactly what's usually called 'expensive' in reviews.
