I need information on how to best set up Cubase so that Core 2 Duo can run efficiently w/ Gigastudio's VST sampler. For example on the old Dual CPU set ups there was load balancing, etc. Any Core 2 Duo users running muliple apps similar to this ? I also have this w/ 3 x 15 DSP cards and SFP. I am trying this with the little E6400 first. If more juice is needed, I will swap it 4 the E6700 which I think will be overkill, but maybe not.
The GVI app is tuned for SSE4, and multithreaded. Pretty damn good for Tascam this time around. The big benefit is that GVI will load many more instruments simultaneously. So with DAW #1 running electro mechanical libraies, and acoustic instruments, DAW #2 will handle the large orchestral libraries and amything else I can throw at it.
