I was so frustrated before and since i have put those last generation board that's a dream. Hope it helps all those who want to use the best reverb for creamware station.
end of the pci bandwidth problem : Sd GENERATION BOARDS!!!!
end of the pci bandwidth problem : Sd GENERATION BOARDS!!!!
Just to let people know that, whereas i had some pci bandwidth overflow when using P100 from sonictimeworks (more than 1 in the project or when adding some other plugs) i can now load 3 or 4 P100 (full verion) without any problem !!!!! Why ? i have now only second generation boards and, that's amazing, evrything is faster and stable stable stable... Damn, i am so happy ! I Amazing as my mobo is 3 years old (asus p4g8x, P4 2,4 ghz, 1 Go samsung ram). Now i can load all what i want, i will go for a 14 dsp asap to increase the whole power ...

no i won't
; i have already tried to add a friend's 14 dsp (that makes 6+6+14) and the spell remains... i can load all the devices without any problem at all.
Actually i had exchanged a 15dsp against 2 scope projects (i wanted to split my system) and i suppose that my scope was a first generation because i can now have a 4ms latency (option not available on my scope). So, it is obvious (and confirmed by the the P100 developper) that second generation is a key point when it comes to run such big plugins...
The sole problem
is that scope was initially only intended to mix my projects (P100 as main reverb !) and now i cannot avoid to use also the synth ... an aditional 6 dsp could be fine but as there is an increasingly number of good plugins, i will go for a 14dsp for sure !
Hope this thread will help those who want to take profit of the STW P100 without sacrificing other plugs...
