Just got a mail from brainworx-music, if someone's interested in:

Dear all,

We are happy to finally present the bx_digital, the digital emulation of our MODUS EQ bx1 / bx2 combination, for VST and TDM.

The plug-in version has 3 switchable modes: L/R-mode, M/S-mastering-mode, and M/S-recording mode.

All modes have switchable Link-functions for either all EQ-bands and functions or selected bands only!

This makes the bx_digital the most versatile mastering eq-plugin available!

It was concepted by international top mastering engineer Mazen Murad (Metropolis Studios London) and Dirk Ulrich (Brainrox Studios Germany), and has just had its international premiere on the album-mastering of the TSR-Project feat. James LaBrie of DREAM THEATER (www.tsr-project.com), where the bx_digital was used for individual M/S-processing of the stereo mixes.

We are right now working on finishing the TDM / PRO TOOLS version as well. Aiming at a AES presentation… J

This TDM version will even have an exclusive touch-sensitive “automatic mode” for use with the DIGI ICON controllers to automatically switch the bx into “Solo-mode” whenever an EQ-knob on the ICON is being touched…

Test the VST-version here: http://www.brainworx-music.de/download/bxdemo.zip (FREE download and trial for PC and MAC!!!)

VST-sales will start within the next 14 days.

i asked dirk concerning the pros and cons between the different plattform versions and also if the other 2 modes will be available for scope.

- the big plus for the scope version are the insert slots. those are unique for scope and couldn't be done for vst, protools, whatever...

- the two additional modes are not available for scope. dirk told me, if they could find some time, there will may be an upgrade sometimes...

i also tested the vst against scope and i found the scope version more musical. especially the deesser sounds a lot smoother in my ears. the handling of the scope version is also more confortable.
