I want to upgrade my DAW and get a new case - possibly one with low noise and will fit the Scope Professional card. Any recommendations? Also, I would like to get a motherboard with a new Dual-Core processor - what intel chipsets are OK? I have read somewhere that 915/925 are a no-go.
A PCI-E slot with a fanless graphics card plus the old slots for the scope is what I am looking for - I do have an ASUS now and it works nicely, but I am getting fed up with my 3.4 P4 Prescott as its running hot and although I have fitted a Zalman fan the bloody thing is still too noisy.

nice pics - but you shouldn't use the original 1MByte files from your digicam, save them with reduced size for screen res.
40KB per pic is more than enough (as your pictures have large uniform color areas), so a jpeg 'quality' value of 60% is sufficient.

acryl looks good, but it is a bad heat dissipator - your fans(*) have to work at an increased rate, compared to a solid metal case.
but the latter doesn't look as good as yours...

I've made good experiences with (heavy, 4U) industrial steel cases, the ugly ones in beige  aren't very expensive... the black ones look better at same specs.

cheers, Tom

(*) of course it's good if your fans work at an increased rate - I meant the raditors inside the PC case...

my favorite?
antec tx1088.
since those are gone, antec tx1050b. if you are in the usa or canada you can get a b-stock from antec for $59. that can't be beat imho...this case is rock solid, can be transportewd daily without damage and comes with a 500watt top quality power supply.

I use a Chenbro SR107 case. Lots of room for the big Scope cards.
