I am designing my new DAW 4 live performance, and will be using an AH RK-401d rackmounted keyboard w/ 4 port KVM to switch from DAW to DAW. These will be two SFP DAW's. I only need the STM2448 on DAW #1. On DAW #2 is there a small mixer I could use just to output eight channels to DAW #1 where the real mixing would occur? A basic 8 in, 8 out w/o much DSP hungry eq's,aux's,fx, and such? A multiple bus option would be ideal. Simple routing w/o the frills.

Won't know till I'm finished building DAW #2. But I just tried the DSP usage info. and found out that the 1632 uses DSP only when items were in use. This is good 4 me. I am also checking out the multi buss scheme of S.White's mixer which would be fantasic if it's DSP usage is reasonable. The micro is a sweet little low usage mixer, but I'm thinking the multi buss approach as I will be using EnergyXT w/ VSTi's and Bidule also. Way too much info 4 my green ass to learn right away, but I am sure when I settle into my new gig better, I will make the time to learn SFP routing schemes and overdose on Solaris modular, and SpaceF's new stuff.
