I'm sure it's not that, a quick look at Analog Devices website will reveal that the new 200Mhz sharcs are max 10x faster than the old ones, wich it's quite coolOn 2006-08-09 03:14, hifiboom wrote:
maybe he just wants to tell us the card has the power of 64 old Sharcs, what would be quite stunning....
Yeah...the UAD's have ONE chip on them, but it's a lot faster than the current Scope chips...I guess the ASB's also have one chip. With, say, three or four of the latest, fastest SHARC chips, Scope could smoke the rest of the world. On 2006-08-08 03:39, Brazda lui Novac wrote:
Maybe he wants to say 64 bit drivers for 64 bit OS, it's impossible to fit 64 DSP's on a card without a custom case. I bet the new cards will have less DSP's on them (but much more powerful) and will be much smaller than Scope professional. But this are not at all news and have been discussed here a lot. The question is WHEN it will happen... Meanwhile I'll enjoy my 33DSP's![]()
