I love the way GS3 Orchestra/Scope 4.1 work together. And I really like the 32bit integer sound in VDAT. It has really good summing IMHO. The thought of me using Audio/MIDI host still makes me nervous. I have years of experience w/ MIDI sequencing using hardware, and syncing w/ tape. I know it's long in the tooth, but I can write out arrangements as fast as I can play them. And I would rather have my CPU running our overbloated O.S. instead. The way I look at it is both of my apps. are barely using the CPU. Instead of me getting VST host, I wish I had a simple 8 track sequencer in Scope. Being a live performer, I could use my MC-500MkII as a redundtant spare, like I do with my HDD's. When I listen to a full mix in Sonar 4.0 going through a RME Hammerfall, and then hear the same mix on my Scope DAW, it becomes apparent to me that VDAT seems to have an edge in the summing, and I don't know if the Hammerfall is lacking somehow, but I would rather wait for 64bit apps. to mature, then go with a dual core/multi-threaded 64bit app. Cause right now I like the sound of VDAT.
So is it possible to make such an item 4 Scope. I would have an all in the box solution w/o running my CPU down, and having to use an overbloated VST host.

Scope4live,
Yes, an SDK capable programmer could probably make such a device at the at0m level. You just have to keep posting, and bother those guys , as they are very busy, and legally could not charge you 4 their work as the liscensing agreement so aptly states.
I suggest you keep your post at the top eveyday till someone from CW replies, or a 3rd party SDK guy PM's you, or someone here replies.

Unsincerely Yours,

Well, the SDK isn't like standard programming, so might have to wait for some time. The best you will get is the Flexor/Modular step-sequencers. Wolf has a pretty nice one too, stand-alone instead of modular-based, you should check into that.

For anything most elaborate, you'll need to go native. Here's a link to a small, still-free, very tight recording/midi sequencing application:

I haven't had to try it much yet, so I don't know what works/doesn't work, but it's worth a shot.

Symbiote,
Thank you for your reply. I keep getting sidetracked with Mod III / Flexor, etc. But I need to get cracking on this, as I have studio time paid for in September, where I will need to record vocals, saxes, and guitars. Would love 2 do this in VDAT w/o having to sync up Alesis HD24/96 w/ MC-500MkII.
