Trying for sounds with reverse like feel.
I'm looking for a different way from the use of reversed samples.
Any advice? Are there any patch to refer to?

i don't know which kind of sounds you want to create, but i think using envelopes with long attack time coul be useful.

Maybe some tweaked multipoint envelope could work; or the right slope in a normal one. Perhaps applyed to some filter too. But I wasn't be able to achieve desired result yet.
I know there are tools for frequency content related analisys; is it anyway possible to graphically analyze transient levels?

Another cool fx I'm looking for is sort of 'underwater' filter/VCA driving.

it can be done by using audio to gate modules to trigger envelopes.

it can be done using lfo's or granulators.

I also enjoy doing reverse solos and such like " Drifting " by Jimi Hendrix on the " Cry Of Love " LP/CD. I only in the last few years was able to pull this off live with my Line 6 Echo Pro. It just takes a little timing and foresight to really turn some trippers heads,i.e. the kids in clubs nowdays do ecstacy instead of LSD. But they always come up and go, " wow man, that's so deepy. " It's a Vegas thing. In the studio Logic and most sequencer apps. are one click, but live it's a little bit of math, and subdivision. But I probably get more yeahs out of that trick than any of my other sounds. I spend hours with Solaris, and I get more attention from a reverse/tape delay unit than thousands of dollars worth of gear, go figure.

I remember you spamming a thread of mine at one point. In fact you set up this account under this name specifically so that you could spam that particular thread.
This geezers English is just fine when he wants it to be Jimmy.

Sorry shroomz, I was just kidding a bit; won't think just one or two lines are spamming.
You're wrong. Try compare the date of your thread with the one I've subscribed.
I'm serious here; I like this nick.

LOL
U're right Scopeforlive, phrase construction, an abbreviation and a couple of misprinting make the whole msg incomprehensible.
I'm thinking transitions between notes have to be strange in a good reverse like sound, but don't well figure out how them have to be

No worries Mr. Experienced
Most of us don't hold grudges or anything childish like that.
You can maybe also try inserting a reverse gate or gated reverb for some sliding reverse style action, although they may not give the effect you're after.

I picked up a burning coal with a sense of humour, but it was too hot to handle, so I fucked it back in the fire where it belonged.
Dang, there's some burnin' hot coals playing this game called jump in & out of the fire talking crap while advertising something over & over.
F'ing Mental this place is.

Flexor offers some sort of reversing using granular tools, check out Regroover (feed it with inverted Ramp to reverse) or Displacer. These granular effects split up the incoming audio into snippets, whose playback /order/ can be reversed - the individual snippets are not played in reverse though.
Depending on the purpose and after fine tweaking some parameters, this might do the trick...

I guess it still amazes me how many people still don't have it - you get a scary amount of possibilities for the price.
