well, I went out to basically the only 2 PC stores around my house in Miami and couldn't find a decent silent case fan and CPU fan. I checked Tiger Direct and they had some, but I was wondering if there were any other better ones that are more reliable. Problem with Tiger Direct is that their shop here in Miami has the worst customer service on this planet. Maybe their internet stuff is a bit better, who knows.

It's tough cuz this is the first time I've had to buy "technical" PC parts.

http://www.zipzoomfly.com
http://www.mwave.com
http://www.compuvest.com

and the better part of tiger direct,
http://www.globalcomputer.com

customer service is not really the strong point with any of these guys, but they are reliable and they will fix errors quickly. i've spent a lot of money with all these suppliers...

Don't leave out http://www.newegg.com
I typically head to newegg or zipzoomfly, sometimes i'll just hit up http://www.pricewatch.com to comparison shop, but ordering from shops there can be a bit of a crap shoot.

It also depends on the gear you're after. The more I head away from the mainstream the more I rely on forums such as this one to find the good places to order. For example I've been using SMP rigs for a few years, and so I keep up with things at http://www.2cpu.com which means I know what shops are good for server/workstation parts. They are NOT the same shops that are listed above.

Rinse & repeat for whatever computing niche you're leaving the mainstream for...
