Tangent Piano1 is a Free experimental synth which sounds like a cross between a piano and a harpsicord. It has subtle detuning across the keyboard, like a real piano.

It's velocity sensitive, has a mono output and no controls (attack, decay and release are preset).

So set to maximum polyphony, add some reverb and play away.

Keep in mind this is a Beta SDK release, comments and suggestions for improvement?.

Enjoy its FREE.

sounds like a hammered dulcimer. don't have access to my DAW at the moment, but I'll try it soon.

Dunno what sort of algo you're using to generate the sound, but is there any way to make it less harpsichord-like, and more piano-like? It's kind of on the bright side so I'm not sure how it'll do in a mix.

Hi all,

There was an actual Tangent Piano check :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tangent_piano

kensuguro & okantah, I will be experimenting further so future Beta releases may turn out more piano and no harpsicord.

bosone its synthesized.

It does not sound exactly like piano, but its not too far from it. I hope this project will turn out be have a better piano sound. I was a bit surprised to not hear some of the real instrumental sounds in the scope platform. All the preset sounds in synthesizer are all electronic sounds, and its forcing me to turn to my older equipments to find sounds like piano and guitar.
