hi,

I have my boards devided over 2 system and and all sorts off activation keys asigned to different boards.
I figured out(what a puzzle) that when I upgrade one PulsarII with the S&S pack. , I will have all the plugins.
So there is no need for me to upgrade other boards.
now my question is; will it be worth an extra 98euro to have the upgrade in both systems?
will there be any future drawbacks in not having the other system also upgraded to Scope 4.5?

thanks
regards

You can install the 4.5 for free without getting the plugins if you don't need them, if you want to see your logo updated...regarding future offers I don't thing there is a difference, if you own all the plugs spending for the upgrade without getting anything more it's only a loss.

my 0.02 €

Firubbi,

Deesser is in Devices/Effects/mono/dynamic. But I think this has nothing to the topic title

I made a live pc with a Pulsar2 and a Luna2 that have not been upgraded, they only have the 4.0 keys, I installed the software directly from the 4.5 CD that came with my Scope Pro and it installed perfectly with the plugins I had. Naturally if I load the SBC it asks for a key that I don't have, I' don't have the other plugs of the 4.5 upgrade, but the software with the new Livebar functionality (minimization as in 3.1c) is there and working.

Hi,

If you ordered Scope project with S&S or M&M pack, you will receive a reply with a link to a new allkeys.skf and you registration keys will be updated with your new devices later on. Check that you have all yours new devices. If not, list the ones missing in an email to ralf explaining quietly your issue (with the invoice number as reference: you should have received it already as an acknowledgement of your purchase. So don't delete it!). And don't worry, Ralf will fix it!

Yes it is possible to install 4.5 free using your Scope 4 keys. We have done it & have no problems

Obviously you won't get the xtra software offered with the 98euro upgrade.

Can't remember the exact figure, but we counted either 36 or 38 new DSP files (I listed the files in one of the 4.5 related threads in 'announcements'.

There is also an XTC I/O enabler added to the software install which was not in Scope 4.

actually, the xtc enabler, a puzzling device, IS in 4.0. one doesn't always see it in the install process, but it's always installed(afair).

it was in 3.1c already - yawn
but didn't Ali post somewhere that there is nothing new in 4.5 but the additional devices ?

I'm pretty sure I've read exactly those words, but admit I might be wrong, as I lost track within the cross-posting kindergarten mess - sorry but I lack another word for it

cheers, tom

That's what I wanted to know. Is there anything new in 4.5 apart from extra devices? Bug fixs/enhancements. I'm not interested in getting new devices so I haven't bothered so far with 4.5.

I'll gladly wait another 2 years for 5.0 <hehe>.

If it works, don't fix it.

For 90% of what I do, 4.0 is working just fine.

Happy Merry,

Greg

there's no installer for mac in 4.5.
Do you guys realize how smooth we take this neglecting of a complete platform?
I can imagine a few threads about this fact, even whyle we are with few...

BTW, I copied the startup logo ('4.5') from the install folder, works fine.
Is there anything else that looks different in 4.5 that I should manually copy?

oh yeah, missing OSX support, we're now missing OS9 support, that's called backward incompatability...

Does this upgrade include Vdat module?
I have everything else , on 3.1c , and it's all working perfectly ....
( I hope it didn't hear me say that )
Getting in to activation key purgatory would be worse than hell I reckon .
Cheers,
M
