i have made some confiqurations in bios after changing again to standard pc from acpi, because the first seems much more stable.
now my two scope cards(pulasr2 + scope pro) share the same irq.11
is that better than having each card its own?
and generally which component to which irq should be placed?
i see 15 irqs so there must be some that share i suppose
which are the correct numbers for each pc component?

2 DSP cards on IRQ 11 is very good.
now make sure you video card also is on its own IRQ. In standard mode one of these IRQ
5/9/10.

IRQ 15 can't be unless you disable the secondary or primary IDE.

i have a 14dsp card put into pci slot 2 and a scope pulsar2 into pci slot 4.
both connected with the stdm cable.
is there a problem not being close together like slot 2 and slot 3 or slot 3 and slot 4?
because the bigger 14dsp card is on the 4th pci slot the pc sees it as the socond card.
manual says that the bigger should be placed as the first so i entered what manual says into cset.ini file of scope.

boardid1
[board1]
boardid0
is this worse than positioning the cards in a way to be identified from the first install as i want to?

As long as the end result is that the 14 dsp card shows up in your dsp meter as the FIRST card then everything is ok. The PCI connection is used for data transfer ONLY with the primary card, the stdm cables are used for all data to & from the other card(s).
