Hi, I'm new to producing, and just recently bought a AMD athlon 3800 dual core, and the creamware scope 4.0. I was told by a technician to post on this forum to find out if my motherboard is compatible with the scope project.

So if anybody has run into complications when running this motherboard with the creamware scope.

Motherboard is a Fatality An8 series, by Abit

thanks a lot
sincerely,
matthew

You probably already saw this in some of the other threads.... it looks like the N4 stuff that has PCIe may not be the best choice. RME-Audio website has some info on this in "Support/Technical Info" section. It appears that either the load of the PCIe for people who use heavy graphics, or something, is making PCI lose out.

For some example of other configs that might be better, check out this site: http://www.adkproaudio.com/systems/Digi ... tation.cfm
Those guys are putting together some nice systems, and they are doing realworld testing. So I would tend to trust their configs more than I would other sites.

Saw some positive remarks on the Gigabyte Nforce3 Ultra motherboards in some of the other threads here.

Similar layouts are available from MSI. And HardwareZone did a shootout of those a while back. MSI website says that the K8N Neo2 Platinum does support the X2's.

Did some more searching. You can find the K8NS Ultra Gigabyte board still in a bunch of places. Their CPU matrix also says that X2 is supported/tested.
