good pc dealers in the uk?

Can anyone recommend a decent PC dealer in the uk?

I'd prefer it if it was someone who understands the whole DAW system as opposed to home PC but don't want to pay out for the likes of carillion etc...

Preferably someone I can email with a wishlist for motherboard etc... There is a small independent shop near me that is cheap but will this reflect in the various components even on a top end machine?

Does anyone have any experience with these sort of shops???

Any advice appreciated!!!

well, assuming the UK (PC biz) isn't that different from Germany you cannot expect this service. Their margins just don't allow it.
Either you pay Carillion prices (or a specialized dealer) or you DIY.

The folks where I go shopping make 80 Euro profit on each 1k Euro.
How long do you want to talk for that, check lists, order and configure stuff etc...

I've always had the service in the past! My only reservation is that they regard the Audigy 2 as a top end sound card so don't quite understand why you need certain components. If you think that they are going to use decent enough gear then I'll just go and see them!

Here is a system on offer. Will this work well with a scope or has anyone encountered any problems?

Intel Pentium 4 530J 3Ghz
Asus P5S800 Motherboard - Intel LGA 775
Intel 661FX Chipset
etc...

With various useless things I guess they can take off the system!

They also sell these motherboards:
Asus P5GD1
Asus P4P800E Deluxe
Asus P5GPL

Would one of these be a better option? (I'm guessing yes here!!!)
