I would have liked to see the professional package in the summer special aswell.
I want to get more dsp power but i wouldn't get a 6 dsp board. rather go for 14. I have 2 A16's
so more dsp is better for my needs.
Still it's a steal of a deal.

Yeah.... depreciation sucks. I'm grateful it's a tax writeoff. If you haven't registered your music business/sideline/hobby check it out. The tax benefits can be significant.

Maybe they don't need to discount these. Perhaps the "Scope Pro" buyer will buy anyway.

Scope Pro are already Priced within range.
I think the idea is to offer the Scope Pro software (2 packages) with the Scope Project for those who can't really afford the Pro. Or for those who have older cards to add the 2nd generation board Plus the mighty power of the 2 packages.

The specials are always for people with a lot of cash. Where are the small sales? Once again and continually Creamware proves that it is bad at marketing.

Unless you want to go the cracked-VST-plugins route (and even then,) computer audio in general is for people with lots, lots of cash =P

I read on some forum a couple of years back that some people/"Musicians" stay away from creamware cards because the inability to find cracked version of their Plugins.

I even remember one guy stated that he contacted Creamware and said that he would buy the card if he can download cracked copied of their optional plugins and also that he would tell others to buy creamware if such cracked devices available for download.
Then and only then their Scope platform would be a valuable assest to him and others.

I guess that is what cheap means to some.
The ability to own what is not yours for Free or near free.

Creamware has offered reduced prices before on device packs and even individual devices (such as when Profit5 was released). Surely that's about as 'small' as you could get with the Creamware platform? Or do we need a sale on STDM cables? At least you braincell, are consistant across the years

I remember some Xmas specials. So I could buy a Transient Designer for about 60 % of the normal price. I forgot the absolute prices.
Could be more often ...
But if you buy a bundle (m-m-pack or s-s-pack) you can economise lots of bucks.

The problem with packages is the redunt devices and or devices I don't want or need!

If I could get a CW module I need for $50, I would buy it today and one ever 6 months.

Is it better for Creamware to get $100 a year from me or zero a year because that is how much I have been giving them for several years. It's not that I don't like what they have but I have a lot of stuff already. For me the only thing that is going to entice me is a low price. I have been doing more on the laptop lately so that is taking me even further away from Creamware.

I contend that people who are willing to fork over $1,000 or more for a package don't really care about the price anyway. If it was free and easy to transfer keys then we could get some deals together over the internet maybe. Still it's hard to trust someone you don't know. If Creamware could sell just as much with individual low priced deals than big packages then why wouldn't they?

that's what packages are about - I just aquired Adobe Creative Suite and have no need for PageMaker, Illustrator, Stock Photos...

you might ask CWA about how much the 'shop bug' increased their sales during last year

cheers, Tom

Clearly the cards are driving software sales which was the intention. A bold move would be to make all Creamware software free and watch card sales skyrocket.
