The midikey splitter is part of the SDK.
It isn't hard to assign new knobs to the
splitter. But I'm not sure what the NDA say's about sharing devices I create.
Some people share there SDK projects and devices. But others are asking money for it.
I just don't know if it is allowed for me to create a new device for you without asking CWA first.
If someone could refer to this? (yes I have the NDA , but i'm not good at reading contracts)
cheers,
Casper

Casper that would be so great if you can easily add that funcionnality to the keyboard splitter device !!!
Thanks in advance.
By the way I like the way the trans. buttons are working...the change of the value does take effect on the next note change. Don't change that please !!!
If it is easy for you to increase the value of the Trans. button...let say -+88. Go for it!!!

Here it is!

Site is under construction but you can download it under "Devices".
The only thing changed is assigning midicontrols. The transpose knob has dependencies. Therefore you'd have to give a wide range in order to get 64 keys. No more is possible at this time.
Let me know what you think.
cheers,
Casper B.
Please test it and feedback me on it.

Great Casper !!!
The midi ctl working fine
but....
the transpose button on the lower split does'nt go to minus 64 anymore....it is making impossible to cover a large range of the notes. Ex.: I have a 25 notes keyboard and I want to be able to do note 0 to 12 on the lower split and notes 84 to 96 on the high split. The way to do that is to put the keyboard on center note 60 and transpose the lower split to minus and the high split to plus.
Also a good upgrade from the original key splitter from scope would be to :
1- transpose buttons going by octave instead of cent = Modify the one in place or add a second transpose button that goes by octave.
2-Make the transpose buttons so they don't cut the note playing as you change the transpose and also not transpose the note that is actualy playing (it is not a problem for now but....)
Thanks a lot Casper!

I've changed the range of tranpose knob(low).
The noteoff values are part of a secure transposition. Removing this security will give quite some problems in relation to hanging/stuck notes.

I will try to create those octave transpose buttons. On 2005-06-05 18:39, ChristianB wrote:
I just realized that the low transpose button does not transpose in the minus at all (the original too).
So the only way to reach the note zero is to put my controller on the lowest octave range but then the highest note in the upper split begin at 73, that is not enough.
In your last modification the low trans button is going to -64 to +128, if you do the same with hi trans button things will be all right...
I notice that the hi trans button does transpose in the minus ???
Are you planning on a per octave transpose button???

Version 4
added octave knobs.
wider range of transpose knobs.
But be aware that some values are doing nothing now. When going to low with the "low note"-knob the transpose knob wont go as low as when you'd set the low-note knob a little higher.
Let me know if you can use it with your mini keyboard ok?
