Have anyone tried using pulsar with AMD64?

For my forthcoming upgrade i have an idea to assembly a dual amd opteron system, the only one doubt is about how scope will work in such environment

Scope will not work under WinXP-64 (no 64bit scope drivers).

it is not forbidden to use 32-bit os, amd64 runs 32 bit code with no emulation

well this thing interests me as well, i've built a workstation based on dual opteron 250 cpus and Tyan Tiger K8W S2875 ... i'm about to buy a scope professional card... well i wouldnt like to end up solving compatibility problems or so... so anyone working with multiprocessor system or any info on this issue? any experiences?

i had a dual p3 1ghz(slot type cpu) for a while with an asus mobo and rdram. it ran fine, although the 1.8 p4 and intel d850 motherboard that replaced it just seems a lot smoother.

i can't say that newer duals are better or worse, and i'm suspicious if the extra expense is warranted, but i suspect that a properly configured modern dual setup will be fine. as the config is much more complicated with a dual, you may spend more time tweaking your system(maybe not). you may have to open up the task manager and manually set the processor affinity for each instance of software in use(scope to one processor, sequencer to another), to have truly reliable, click-free results...
