I'm interested in creating an AMD64bit computer. I need a lot of PCI bandwidth.

I made a note for future upgrade of these mainboards after they were listed here on planetZ by other users.
Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro with AMD64 3200
MSI K8N Neo Platinum with AMD64 3200
msi neo2 platinum 939 with AMD64 3000

I wouldn't touch Nforce4.. it's a bad time for the jump to PCI Express for graphics. I have tried an Asus Nforce4 SLI board and it truly sucked.

hi
i work wirh the neo2 939 an 3000 cpu
my last project have stwp100 a1000 cd100 +
3 masterverb in insert
vincos compressoxs optimaster(for kick)
celmo amps cwdelays.
I can resave all the old projects with random pci overflow or with sample rate problems and all works smoothin now.
No more lost the sample rate.
I have 3 card inside and standard mode
no time to understand the other acpi/irq way.
i have try to works at 96khz but no way to
have more than 1 masterverb or stw verb in project maybe is related to a 14 15 cards problem or to a scope software problem
don know.
I'm not able to to install the
nvidia pci ide controller and i works with the microsoft at the moment.

Regarding my recent experiences with MSI Neo, I can't recommend that board anymore. It worked absolutely great, until started to fail with proper cpu voltage delivery. I have to set overvoltage for my cpu to get it default 1.5v and stable
I'm looking for a new mobo as well, but if nforce4 is not recommended, perhaps I should wait for next generation.

i've recently bought
asus a8v deluxe with via chipset
1gb matched pair 2 cas corsair xtreme memory
3ghz amd64
all in a nice antec sonata case
was worried about via but couldn't find any probs reproted on other forums whereas with nforce 4 there was/ also probs with equivelent abit board.
Runs lovely with my two power pulsars, however the sonata box was a pain with fullsize boards unless you use the last two pci slots. No probs as yet will do a reverb test as soon as i get a mo.

I think AMD64 stuff works different to the old North/Southbridge stuff, with Hypertransport or something. Not sure if that's NForce-only or not though.
