Hi there to planet claire,
i am using a pulsar2plus card.
When i try to install sfp 4.0 using my allkey
file from sfp 3.1, i cannot click the next button to continue. Do i need a new allkey file for 4.0?
Wich package should i use to import the old allkey file? MixnMaster or synth or what?
I don`t have both.

Your new key should be found on your page at Creamware under "Activation keys". As for old keys, you can always copy-paste them to the new one using notepad.

you need to activate 4.0. go to "my page" and follow directions. if you don't have s&s OR m&m, it doesn't matter which you choose, so choose one....

Of course you need a new Key for your new software, but there is a problem that may happen even if you have it, the solution follows:

I fortunately for you, know what is going on, I have had the exact same problem. The problem is that the KEY degenerates when you download it to your computer, after a few booting and switching off, this happens.

SOLUTION:
Download it just before installing your software, when you are ready to go, and IT WILL WORK!

It seems bizarre, but this is how it happens and the solution.

Please, let me know in this thread is you could solve the problem.

Perhaps the way to solve the problem from the beginning for CWA, is to send it compressed in a RAR or ZIP.

Nestor, keys don't "degenerate". If they did, the rest of your software and documents would also "degenerate" just as fast, and your OS wouldn't even boot anymore. It might have gotten corrupted one way or another thru some operation or during install, but not just randomly like that.

I agree. In fact I've moved my cards from system to system a few times and have had no issues. The only time I've need to get my keys again was the 4.0 update (or when purchasing new devices).

1. make sure you have Scope 4.0 key
and that you followed the instuctions on the download page on how to get Scope 4.0 key

2. you updated your ASPI layer for your OS.

I too agree about what you say, I call it degradation because I don't know the technicalities of those thigs. Anyway, something is true, it happend the way I said. The key doesn't work after a while, and when downloading it again, it works.

the allkeys file is a standard text file (open it in notepad and you will see).

the only way it could degenerate was if the text was altered, witch COULD be a result of a virus/worm attack, tho i cant say ive seen any of those target .skf files

Yes, I have oppened it so I could see all the keys. This is also a way to install, you can manually tape all the keys, no problem.

But for some reason CWA recommends you not doing so, but letting the progrma do it by itself, with the all.key file.
