Hi
Im building up the super beast pc.
Finally found a northwood cpu.
Am wondering which pci slot D875PBZ users have found the most succesful for creamware cards. I have a Luna 2.

I also have a soundblaster live 24 bit card that I will be using for my day2day audio in my second XP OS [dual boot]but this will be disabled in music os...it needs a pci slot tho..

Any recomendations on PCI slots from D875PBZ users will be welcome.

thanks

after firing it up and checking bios i see all slots can have irq priority set.

the bios probably won't be much help as to assignment, as it doesn't determine sharing. from my experience, 1,4, and 5(and even 3) are usually good in the intel boards. don't stress, just put the card in and check windows system information to see if you have sharing. if you do, move the card. the intel mobos are very forgiving as to sharing of irqs when it comes to bus controllers, so you should only be concerned with things like video or possibly usb. with one card, it should only take a try or maybe two to find a unique irq...

the bios will help you disable everything onboard that you won't absolutely need to use. then, you should have a rock solid machine...
