Hello all!

I'm currently thinking of the possibilty of opening a recording studio (as a business) rather than my hobby home-studio.

I've been thinking of a configuration that could suit the needs of a pro-studio.

What i wanted to get is a computer with:

- Scope Professional (14 DSP)
- UAD-1 STUDIO
- TC Powercore element

This is a nice amount of DSP's, and will probably cover all the needs of the clients (i hope).

My questions are:

1. do u think this system could run stable? anyone use the combination of these 3 cards?

2. which system do u think performance-wise could run at best speed and reliability? (lets say that money is not a problem here)

Do u think it is preferrable to go for an AMD , Intel or a MAC?

3. any enlightments from your own personal experience on this issue? i'd love to hear them!!

basically i plan a small electronic-musician based studio, for small artists to come and record their material.

Any word of wisdom will be highly appreciated!!

Scope still lacks OS-X support, and there is the PCI voltage issue.
So with pain in my heart I have to say that Scope isn't ready for Mac, specially as you go commercial and need a future path.
It's a shame, as with a Mac you're sure about the combination of the hardware and the OS.
It also depends on your pc knowledge, some folks here don't have problems with configuring it.
~Check out the lately mentioned studio setup of Junkie Xl:
two times mac G5 with Ableton etc., and an extra pc with a Scope system...
Typical for the current situation...

intel is a pretty sure bet. a 3.2ghz northwood and intel d865perl is cheap and solid. recently, amd64 and nvidia have been looking pretty good as well.

i have seen reports from many users with all those cards and good results...
