Some of these look interesting - anyone tried them? I can't make sense of the sign up system though (and couldn't even access the forum there). It says $69 for the lot but when you click on the link to pay it takes you to a page that says
"1 year access to all the Nikko's pluggins for the Creamware platform. 89$ at startup then 69$ every 6 months"
which just doesn't make sense to me - I understand the subscription concept but how can it say all for $69 when its all for $89 and how can it be access for a year when it says $69 every 6 months?
The only interpretation I can make of this is that it means that you can pay $69 for 6 months OR $89 for a year and it's just badly written. Or does it mean after the first year it's then $178 a year in 6 monthly payments which seems strange.
Either way I asume after that period expires the plugins still run but won't be updated - is that correct?

I guess that is the clue, but me also thinks from the beginning that the presentation is simply bad, sorry to say that

Hmm - the goal-posts have been moved: I paid $69 a couple of months ago for a year's subs....a bargain if only for the Mastercomp which is absolutely brilliant. The Channel One is another highlight for me, and the Vtube stuff is interesting, but takes a bit of getting used to.
I have to say of the Multicompressor tho' - nice idea and it is almost great, but seems to alter the stereo image/phaze which really puts me off.
Nikko?.......

Nikko at one point mentioned changing the price for *new* customers, but I'd be interested in finding out what the deal is. If anyone beats me to it, please post here! Thanks,
Johann
P.S. the mastercomp is amazing, I love that thing. The Virtual Room Simulator is interesting too, but I originally couldn't get it to work with MIDI. I haven't tried it since the updated version came out in October.
(The updated versions, if they happen regularly?, are worth the price of admission by themselves.)

Ah well - I posted the question a few days ago but still waiting for a reply.
The Gold Verb looks amazing but does it's sound match it's looks? How does it compare to other Scope reverbs?

I have signed up for the Nikkopay set.
The verbs are a bit odd sounding, but there is a para eq (called colour) so they can be tweaked. I think they are more of a reverby/chorus type effect than proper reverbs, although I am comparing to the Sonic Timeworks A-100 and I-100, which are fantastic. They have a more harsh sound, which is useful sometimes.
The other Nikko / Dadev devices are OK, but I must admit I don't use them much as I tend towards the standard Scope ones like Vinco, Optimaster, Effect ext 2, etc etc. Nikko VTS is good and unusual if pushed a bit. They have a Disto effect, and a weird Hyperfilter, all worth investigating.
Nikko stuff has its own sound, so see them more as a set of effects, to complement Scope etc.
The Analogy synth is OK, but again, a bit similar to others, and not as different as say Synchrome or Solaris (or the excellent ProTone). But much cheaper.
(My fave alt synth is FM4, I am not even sure where it came from!)
If you want to try some great stuff, try Celmo - all his devices are great!
Nikko is very good value, and there is a fun element too.
Nikko (Dadev) and Celmo devices are all good value, and worth trying out.

Nikko's stuff definately has it's own... erm... character.
The GoldVerb does look fantastic but as mentioned by another it has a strange sound as a "reverb" which may be usable and it really eats DSP! (there is a Lite version too)
I, too, have realised the stereo/phase issue with the MultiComp which has been the same since it's release in the early days when i paid ~$600 for the whole bundle... jeez!
The ChannelOne still has a GUI problem (on my system??) which i told Nikko about ages ago...
I suppose the devices can be used in a deliberate way but not really to produce something one would expect from tools of their suggested names...
...and i am another one that has these but has not really used them at all.
