I saw on the projects forum where Rodos posted results of comparison tests between Ison eq and Sonalkis eq. I personally preferred EQ1,but he never says which is which.I am wondering if he ever posted which eq was EQ1 and EQ2.Anyone? Hopefully Rodos will see this post.I really would like to know.BTW,good job on the testing Rodos. If you could email me, that would be great.

The cat's out the bag now!
When I blind tested Rodos' postings, I too favoured the Sonalksis results.

I didn't participate in the blind test - and I really doubt that one of the two is the 'better' or 'best'.
Finally it's all a matter of taste...
I bought ISON for the fact that it seems (I didn't examine scientifically) a precise tool and allows Q values less than 0.7 - and it runs inside SFP.
Qualitywise it's in the same league as some other well regarded EQs, but for less $$.
One of those SFP gems that go totally underestimated for bargains...
cheers, Tom

Aye, 'tis what dickster and myself have said
I doubt that I'll be buying either soon; not because they aren't good products, or not good value for money (I think they both sound very good and represent good VFM) but because I find the stock CWA devices perfectly suitable for the task of EQ-ing.
That, and I still need some new shoes...

I couldn't listen for myself because I don't have RealAudio installed on my system.
However, I'd expect Sonalksis to have an edge considering that it is $100 more expensive than the IsonEQ.
The downside it that Sonalksis is not an SFP device, wheveras IsonEQ is. And besides, I like the stuff Simon does (especially Level Devil). If I was in the market for an EQ plug-in (which I'm not), I'd buy Simon's device. I also like Celmo's stuff and would consider his plug-in as well.
