2448,4896 mixers maximum output is -3db full digital scale !

I detected that the direct output of any big mixer no matter how hot your channel is even turning all the way to the right the gain knob is always -3db.
I have checked using the 32channel meterbridge after the mixer and before the Asio destination.
Note that I use 32bit floating ASIO 2
Any thoughts ?
Could these be safe bits due to the floating system?

Interesting. I noticed Minimax only outputs to -6.0db unless you engage the effects. But that's a more obvious reason.
