Hi all....
no hassles on 3.1c with cubase SX 2.2,
but i decided to check out the scope 4.0
so that i don't fall behind with cw's
"so far cool" technology....

the new 4.0 gave it a better look and
gave easier handling with project windows..
and stuff... BUT

as i recorded some stuff with my SX2.2
something was wrong...

SX couln't even play few audio tracks
properly simultaneously....
it just decreased the whole volume of the
audio tracks and it sounded as if
one of the tracks were hard gated...
but when i solo it... it played okay...
so i thought the problem was with cubase
and tried to describe this "problem" in
cubase forums.... so far no replies as usual..

after realising i had no solutions to this..
i went back to 3.1c version and...
voila!! it worked perfectly fine...
so then... i realised that the problem was
with the pulsar 4.0 asios.... am i correct?

so someone please help me to solve this
damn problem.... coz i really like the
environment of 4.0...

thank u for planet Z~

what Scope ASIO modules are you using exactly? try ASIO2 24 bit

Or ASIO2 32 bit / 64 -- that will give you up to 64 ins and 64 outs of 24 bit (yes, 24 bit!) ASIO channels.

If Cubase lost the ASIO drivers on SFP4, you may have to re-install the latest update of Cubase to fix the ASIO. Cubase will then be forced to recognise SFP4 as host of the ASIO drivers.

I recommend cleaning your hive with a very small program from Microsoft. See my post about UPHClean in the other thread about freezing P4 new installation.
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... rt=200&219

I have a 3.2 Precott with 1 MB RAM running in ACPI multi processor HT. I use a Logitec USB mouse and keyboard. I have a Doepfer keyboard controller that puts out continous active sensing and a wind controller that does the same. Since I installed UPHClean a week and a half ago, I have no freezes anymore. The day before installation I had 3 freezes. This little piece of software could be the cat's pajamas.
