a16 ultra with pulsar

Anyone knows does a16ultra provide 16 input and 16 output channels at the same time straight away?
Do I need Syncplate???

I have a pulsar 1.

Yes, if you have :

2 x adat IO (4 optical plugs) to have 16 in/16out simultaneously at 24bits/44.1 or 24bits/48khz

OR

If you have 2 zlink connector, you can have all 16 ins & outs at 96khz.

Of course provided he got Pulsar II Zlink or Scope Zlink. Pulsar I does not do 96Khz.

Pulsar1 does 96kHz IMHO, it just doesn't have the Z-Link expansion option

There's no IO daughterboards on the first generation DSP cards...
