Which is the best motherboard for DDR-Ram at the moment.Pentium,preferably Asus.

hi,
if you prefer asus, my recommendation is:
asus p4 p800 SE <b>(NO DELUXE!)</b>
if you want to use a firewire-dsp-device, you will need a pci-firewire-interface with "texas instuments TSB" chipset to run it save. (adaptec or darwincorntrol)

How does it run if you load a 1 gig sample int sts5000?Can it take it?

for the moment, we are using prescott 2.8 GHz with a fanless, passive cooler. (NCU 2000)

I´m still looking for big samples to test the sts-issue...

Any news on tests Andre?
Just got Mobo through and going to buy Ram and CPU.
Like the passive cooler,must be real silent.

I´m using 1GB of physical ram only. I did a test with 450MB and i counld not find any problem... (also @ high native cpu-load)
don´t no, whats going on with 1 gb of sample-programs.

by the way, logic has problems with 2gb of ram!
