and i´m about to upgrade my system to a 3ghtz processor.
is there anybody out there which is successfully running such a combination (A Asus p4pe with a p4 that has frontsidebus800)?
anyway is the increase form fsb533 to fsb800 that much?
i compared on tomshardware cpu benchmarks.
the p4 fsb533 3.06ghtz is nearly as fast as the fsb800 3.0ghtz is.
from this point it seems not worth to upgrade to a fsb 800 system except to this memory benchmark in which the 800 system is uch faster than the 533 regarding a 3ghtz cpu:

what would you say?
is better to go for fsb533 or a fsb800 cpu

I'd say if you want to upgrade to an 800fsb cpu, you'll get much better results upgrading to an intel 865 or 875 chipset board too to take advantage of the PAT-system and dual channel memory. Otherwise the performance increase won't be that big.
