Hi all,

Well currently I have a pretty nice Lian-Li PC 60 Aluminum Case which I have always been quite fond of, but With having a Scope Pro, UAD-1, TC Powercore & ATi Radeon 9800 Pro in the box things are getting quite steamy in there

So I decided to order a Thermaltake Xaser III VM2000A, the same as this case with out the PSU - http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDe ... ode=370442 I have a Antec Trupower 430 that I just got like 2 months ago so I didnt need a PSU, cost me $110.00 after shipping.

I figure Thermtake designes cooling solutions so there cases should do well, now being that this case is really designed for over clocking gamers I think with its fan positions it should do well.

Any one have an experience with this case or other thermal take cases in general?

Cheers!

I use exactly this case now. I don't like the design and my previous Coolermaster ATC 710 was built way better (and looks good, IMHO), but the Xaser has lots of space for extensions and great airflow. It's also very quiet, and it even may be big enough to install an E-ATX mainboard.
But it's a really great overall case.

Hey thanks Wssipel,

I like my Lian-Li, but I dont think I am getting enough airflow to the card area, and since im slowly buying components to rebuild a new PC (currently have an XP2500+), I figured a new case with a good cooling solution and a better designed airflow would do a nice job.

Plus having the view on the side is kinda cool so see the inside of the case and all my cards as work  If I could change anything though, it would have to be that flame lol, maybe its a sticker? I hope it is something you need to put on your self since im not exactly a lan gamer type and dont need such a spiffy looking box hehe.

I just liked the over all specs, nice fan position, the temp gauge in the 1st slot, very open case to fix these over sized cards (Scope/TC) and also the risers to help with grounding issues, removable trays and a moderate price point.

Seems a good buy, thanks for the heads up

Cheers!

It sure was a good choice!

I'm no LAN gamer, too, that's why I don't like the aggressive design of the Xaser (the front panel, especially).
I love the Coolermaster ATC S4000 SX-1, I think it's the best designed case ever made - but I couldn't find it in Germany, and it's very expensive (500 Euro).

Well, I think I'll have to stay with the Xaser and keep on dreaming... it's not that bad!
