an asio In/Out VST plug in .
with a channel in and out seletor .
so anywhere you could insert this vst plug'in you have a send/return to sfp asio module.

Logic Audio already has this, as a Logic plugin though

did you try using Effects/Others/External Effect? You can assign the IO (asio or hardware), you can name it and save it. The rest is set up from the VST host...
Hope this helps.

hi atomic
i talk about a vst plug in not a sfp plug ins.( yes a kind of external module but in asio )
it could be great because with that XTC become obsolet . you could insert any sfp plug in anywhere you could insert this vst plug in via a send/return to the asio bus .
so you have a kind of XTC mod WITH the sfp mode . but no offline process indeed . I think it could be easy to do ?

If it was simple you would have had already plenty to choose, I guess.
About Logic and the I/O helper plugin - to be honest Logic Platinum only.

i don't think so because it's totally useless for a non creamware user !

maybe it's easier in directX ?

like this we could use the wave in/out module instead of asio ?

I/O plugin is useful not only for us

Imagine you want to use your external fx processors (I mean hardware ones) inside your sequencer - then they (the plugins) have their use.

Logic (besides the ability to use VST on PC and MacOS 9) has its own format of plugs unavailable for other platforms (like VST or DX) and even more - you can't find the file that is related to the plugin - it's just built in the sequencer though it behaves like a plugin. So no, you can't use it outside Logic. Even me Logic (but simplier than Platinum) user I can't buy it as it is only in Logic P.

ok ! so it's a special feature of the host (logic ) not a generic plug in like vst or directx !
