Hi All,
can anyone recomend a good mobo for a AMD 1800 processor and 1.2 gig of PC2700 RAM. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING WITH A VIA CHIPSET AGAIN ....i have read some posts where people can load up 13 masterverbs without problems. I load up the STS4000 and get a PCI overflow in a raw project (2448, ASIO Drivers) .. thats it.
I have the following config
Pulsar2 classic 6 dsp
Pulsar XTC Card 6 dsp
AMD Athalon 1800
1.2 gig PC 2700 Ram
ATI Raedon 7000 dual video card
looking at the socket A mobo's it seems the only replacement is one with a nvidia chipset. Do they perform better than via.? I want to get rid of the error message "PCI OVERFLOW" forever...

Nvidea chipset's should be fine.
You could also try to install this patch:
http://www.georgebreese.com/net/software/#PCI
It solved the problem on both my pc's running VIA kt-133 and kt-400.
But you should do a search on this forum, there has been written a lot on the subject......
