hi,i´ve a very big problem, maybe somebody could help me?when i use 1 fx from my xtc card as send OR as an insert, everything is fine, but with both it doesn´t work (CPU 100%, no chance for a good sound?) but with cubase sx1 it worked? i know there´s the new plugin-engine in sx2,but when i change the plugins to old behaviour,it´s also no solution... also i´ve an epox Mobo with VIA-chip, and so i´ve also the PCI-Problem (no patch helped..) -> but this couldn´t be the problem with sx2? thanx for help!

I've been using Nuendo 2.01 for some time without problems. It has the same engine as Cubase SX 2. Your motherboard does not sound promising though! I've have also heard of similar problems (that is CPU load) from people using cracked versions of SX2.

Hi
Have you looked at http://forum.cubase.net/cgi-bin/cubase. ... s&number=2
I have used it to solve a few SX problems.

thanks for help, but there´s still no solution. now i have a new problem, the pc freezes when i start to work with xtc-plugins (?), i think it´s also an pci-problem. my mobo seems to have only shared pci-slots(very funny, it doesn´t matter which slot, my xtc-card is always shared with something else...)

I agree with thorkell,

The VIA mobo is not a promising one.
I run Nuendo and no problem in that regards.

Hi brubek
I used a mobo with a via chip set for over a year with no problems.
I have noticed a few people with 100% CPU issues and SX2 on the Cubase Forum.
I would personnally start from scratch again with a new XP installation and make sure that everything is tweaked and installed correctly. Steinberg have some tips on their site for correctly installing XP and SX. Plus check the tips forum here on Z.
Make sure you turn off all your I/Os like serial, parallel,USB and on board audio ports not used on your mobo in the bios, this will free up interrupts.
A pain in the **** I know.... but it may be worth it.

Hey Brubek,

I know it's an old post, but I have the same problem with XTC + Nuendo 2.2.0.35. Did you short it out?
