Hey,

Some additional information.

Setup page :

When you use 'Mono' or 'Stereo' you free some DSP resources.

Diffusion Type :

You can switch between two different diffusions type - again to save some resources.

Reverb Type :

You can switch between the normal algorithm and a downsized algorithm which still sound close to the original algorithm. Again to preserve DSP/PCI resources.

Please remember that its only the plate algorithm, the ambience and random hall algorithm will follow soon.

while I cannot really comment on the sound quality - I haven't enough of THAT quality stuff around I really do like those interface rectangles with the small meter on the right and the big, clear number.

One of the most smooth, easy and fast approaches to a tweakable UI.

It does sound good, of course - though after being tortured by the reverbs of some native (Mac) software (I'm testing in between) - it simply rules !

I ve just tried the demo... I cant say if it is a faithful reproduction of the PCM91 or not, since I dont own a real one. However, I found it very nice sounding! I really liked it!
But, sometimes its sound is distorted/clipped? Why is that?

it's probably part of the demo limitation

Hey,

Its very easy to get a distorted sound if you dont turn down the "Input Level" on the Main page. You should use -11.3dB to represent the volume of hardware reverbs.

You can right click on the link and choose "save target as". Let me know if it doesn't work, then I'll upload a zip file for you.

Yesterday I've been testing Plate demo against real PCM90 (wich is the same as 91 except for ADA converters), hooked to Pulsar's SPDIF IO. The results to my ears are identical on both devices when loading identically named presets. It's great for those who love Lex PCM sound. I don't

Another vote for Quantec! Quantec was initially on the third party developer list, But the Yarstick plugin never happened. It would be great to have something like this on SFP.

A 480L & the TC6000 would be great too! An emulation of the PCM42 would be very cool if you feel like making a delay.

I want to add more. Quantec QRS has only 1 (one) algorithm. So it will be possible to model the whole device in one step.

myself i would love a 60's 70's jamaican plate reverb (someone who know s better will cite the brands...). see peter tosh centenary compilation, for example, very distinctive.
