You know, like The Boomerang or the AKAI Headrush (without the delay functions). Preferably with four or more re-dubable tracks (or perhaps just one track per loaded device). Loop length should be adjusted automatically (set to longest over-dub), within reasonable limits, as well as offset.

You should be able to use a midi controller with this thing, with separate controlls for which track to record/overdub, play/stop and erase.

This is for live performances of course. I don't know whether it would be possible though. It might hog some serious DSP and RAM .

But just imagine the performances which could be possible to create with this device.

I believe there's a device called Mary Jane which does this stuff.

Can't remember the link - check the devices forum.

Right, thanks. But I can't seem to get http://mdevice.vumetre.com/ to open. Would anyone know whether this is temporary or not?

The Free MaryJane is interesting, but sort om limiting as a dedicated looper. It is not very intuitive.

Added:
I discovered today that you can actually use any delay effect for looping audio, thus it would be posible to build this device in the Modular. The only problem is that the delay/loop time has to be longer than 5-6 seconds (like MaryJane and Delay L). Serial connecting will not help here, I think.
