Not so long ago we discussed Tracktion as a good and cheap alternative sequencer. Then it was only PC and now comes in beta Mac version, as well

And it's even getting bundled with Mackie hardware. Seems like a great notebook DAW solution.

The Spike (Mackie) is SHARC based
I can't find any info on what SHARC exactly, though. The interface looks very interesting. Especially the software bundle

I think SHARC is a DSP chip designed for audio. That is what Creamware cards use.

looks like tracktion's steadily working its way up there towards the big boys. I'm still gonna wait a bit tho.
