I switched systems at home. I picked up a GB GA-7VAXP Ultra. I am having problems with the PCI Capcity thing.
I Have the Following:
AMD 2100XP
1.5gb ram
2 120 gig HD
1 60 dig HD
1 DVD ram drive
Firewire and USB on board is enabled. (2 FW drives)
1 pulsar2, 2 pulsar 1 cards
1 UAD Card
1 ATI Radion Dual VE
I mainly run Nuendo 2.01.
After about 4 Master Verbs I get the Error. IF I run SX or Nuendo I can only run 2-3 MVs.
I can't even load one MV if I run in XTC.
Any Ideas,
Lp.

It's probably the chipset on your motherboard - older VIA chipset sucks!
There's a small program you can install that solved my problem (I now run 10 Masterverbs on a VIA KT-133
)
You can find it here:

If you can't make it work - feel free to contact me.

o.k,i understand.it WILL eat some pci bandwidth, but if everythings set up right it should still be useful.an intel chipset would be a good idea.if you may overclock the asus is a good choice.if you will not overclock i suggest an intel mobo(stable and easy).
i would try the via patch and i would also make sure that i had the latest bios and the latest via 4in1 drivers as well.your current board may give you plenty,it just depends on how you work and what you need.really, for most things,4 reverbs is plenty......

Well I installed the patch. I also tweaked:
Register: 70 HEX: 44 (PCI-Master Read Chaching > ENABLED)
I can't find this register for my KT400:
(Arbitration Mechanism Priority > Change from CPU/PCI to PCI)
I can now load 8 Masterverbs (5 if running nuendo. Why the difference if I am running Nuendo?
Its improving, but I think I should be able to get more. Although 5 reverbs is more than I would ever really use.

You could try this one:
http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/croesus/
Maybe it's better than the one I first directed you too.
Remember to install the newest ASPI-driver also.
It's the best I can do.
