I have searched the net and couldn't find the cable. Could you tell me which companies makes the cable? Thanks for your help!

I researched it a bit and found out that mini-Din is the same as PS/2. So you can use a standard 5pin DIN female to PS/2 male converter as a midi to powersampler cable...

It's not. Neither the ADB cable (keyboard, mouse - for the pre Blue G3) nor the modem/printer cable is the CW one. Indeed, Bosqoue! - this is a PS2 one.

thanks for the correction.i was under the impression that the original macs had built -in midi ports and used that cable.i sell cables with the mini and full sized plugs on them at pro music exchange and they are called "computer midi cables"(made in china).are they older, then?ataris didn't have them did they?

i would like to get the story straight.(so as to stop lying  )

I remember (though a fogg covers my eyes) that such cables you mention were used in Digidesign's Session 8 hardware (the interface was 888 studio) - but I'm not sure. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Perhaps such cables were used in some prehistoric ISA MIDI interfaces, too?

Gary, you probably sell adapters for antique computer keyboards  Those had a DIN plug like a regular Midi cable for AT-mobos. Later those adapters enabled the use of such keyboards on PS/2 sockets of ATX-boards.

sorry, I should have been more precise.
Of course they are sold as computer midi cables today - some clever designer remembered those elcheapo keyboard adapters, which now are totally useless.
They put the 2 midi lines on PS/2 plugs in a way they fit the midi DIN connector
