and it realy helps very much on hard drive noise. It does not take away the high pitched whine (if your hard drives produce any such), but it doesn't heat the hard drive either. Only problem with my Chieftec tower is, that I can not fix the hard drive bay both on the front holes and the rear holes - not too good, but it is there, and that is the most important part.
