				Brotha' Man Assaf,
Call it whatever you like.
I am just happy you are on board with us.

I am curious however about the name. Is it Hebrew?........ or something a little deeper.

Gogma means wizdom in hebrew if you read it in a duch accent (khokhma)
Adern means veins in german so i guess for german people adern fits the bill aswell

Not many know this and even more couldn't care less. It sounds wimpy. Adern is a great name for a great company. I didn't know it meant "veins" and could not care less. It sounds meaningful, functional and worthy. Even if it doesn't actually mean that.
Either way the product is still the same. Honkingly good.
All the best with your future endevours whatever they may be.

i assure you even those who know that wizdom is "khokhma" ( i dare you pronounce it outloud ehehe ) will not make the connection to Gogma. we chose Gogma becouse it sounds good to us.
But thats just a matter of taste...
Adern breaks my teeth i can hardly pronounce it... but after it was there it started sounding nice (it took several months to get used to)
Since Gogma doesn't mean anything to anyone we are now free to forge content into it, as it takes a life of its own like an ever evolving sound
Gogma is essentially a new company with new people (amazing people i assure you). and a new product (A complete modular system) with an old and well known concept (FleXor) Taken much much further

Gogma is a domain we bought several years ago basicaly to make a record label that never happened

here is where it started:
http://www.gogma.com/the_sweep/
sweep is a band by me and ith
however gogma was never used as a name, and just hosted iths plugins, sweeps site, and some friends sites... and it will keep doing so

				Guys from adern,
I'm sure you know about this and that's why I'm lightly HS asking you questions about this:
why did goa-trance went to some bad, cheesy, hard weighted boring pop music?
What happened (I know you didn't directly stick to that movement but it was so strong in Israƫl in the past 10 years)?
Are we less worried about world's future because of the new millenium (XXIth century fully engaged now) or is it that machines direct us to some new (bad) ways, or maybe we abandonned that way of thinking? Back to the roots is not making credits anymore?
Where is the creativity in that music, now that we see cunts like Infected Mushrooms trying to maintain in the top 100th most wanted DJs in tha' f. world?
Please answer me in a way or another: shall we think about goa-trance as a dead body or will it have a new birth during our (dark) close future?
Cheers and good luck for your next prods.
Denis

hey ,
i'm asking the same thing myself, that "is" or maybe i should say "was" my favorite style from the whole beginning, now somehow i don't listen it much often, maybe older tracks time to time,
while producing my tracks i always stick to oldschool style and never care how sounds goa-psy today, cause i've heard some albums and sometimes i don't know if i'm
listening first or last track, sounds pretty much the same, there are very little nice tracks which i could listen more like some old good goa-psy

I aggree with the statements above, but isn`t it the same with almost all kind of commercial things?
not only goa but also other music styles like rock and pop become a short-period fast rolling money machine with less characteristics.
Even 95% of the movies I view get me bored.
Money is ruling this world of capitalism, and to make the big money you have to adress the mainstream, and once you wanna adress the mainstream, you have to make your product easy-consumable for almost every person. And that brings it down to a boring non-individualistic product in many cases.

				Wise words HiFiBoom.
My friend made the best wireless ear monitors ever created, but realized servicing the " Stars " and musicians of the world was a losing propostition.
Several years ago he went to the consumer market and made millions.
Now he's back building and marketing what HE Likes..................thankfully ( for me ) it is a high quality product which doesn't sell as much.
I often pity Soniccore for staying in the niche market they dwell....but then again I am very glad.

jeah soniccore is a good example, outstanding quality, great system but not an extreme seller.
on the other hand there are people that get rich with handy ring tones and poker online portals.
crazy world this is.
