Jam on Algo!
Hey Paul, what kind of chords are you planning? Can we have a sneak preview?

Also, guys, I just found out I'll be leaving the country again on March 19th all the way to april 8th. (give or take a day or so) So if you can't hang on, I won't mind someone else taking my place. Especially the keys part becuase that can't wait. I might be back just in time for the mixing and mastering part. Tho I'd love to do the keys if everyone can wait. Dunno, what do y'all think?

I am quite swamped with work and worried about my dad who`s in the hospital.

If I can clear my mind I can try to hammer out a sequence or two. Still, I'd prefer to wiat for Joel's drumming so I can play off his rhythm.

Hold on to your hats, she's gonna blow!

Fantastic Algo!
It's intriguing me much thinking what will it be by the end. It really is a nice experiment for us all, isn't it?

OK - bad, bad news, folks! I can't finish the drums right now and wish to pass the torch in shame and humiliation.

I know that I have taken too long already - and I have nearly finished up the drum parts for this track - I had some hand drum parts ready to go - I had the samples all selected for the drum kit - had a few MIDI patterns ready. . . .

***BUT*** - I started getting LOTS of blue screen errors lately. I jumped back to what I thought was a pristine GHOST version of my OS / Programs drive thinking it would fix the problem. NOPE! I tried to work with the random blue screens, but it became unbearably uncreative. I figured I was going to have to reinstall the OS fresh on a newly formatted partition. I figured I'd upgrade to XP while I was at it. So, I saved some cash and bought XP Pro. Except it won't install either - *because* MY RAM IS BAD! - I just ran diagnostics on it. The shitty part is that I now have to get some new memory, THEN install my OS, programs ETC. and THEN finish the drum parts. - The moral of the story - DO NOT BUY GENERIC RAM! I thought I could skimp and I was wrong!

How this relates to all of you, is that it is going to take me longer to get the drums done than you should be expected to tolerate. I know that you all are getting frustrated waiting for me, and I don't want that.

Can someone else please do the drums? I think that this would be best for everyone now.

When (and IF!) I get my computer running in two weeks or so, I can send off the hand drum parts I made - Basically, a couple fills, a few swingin' syncopated beats to give it that funky shufflin' feel. If you want these samples I made, I can send them to the sequencer guy - They are are 16bit wave files of a 19" djembe on a Shure SM57 thru an ART tube. - Sounds nice . . .

- the shameful algorhythm

Hi algo,

man that's a bummer, sorry to hear that, don't know who might do the job in your place and what the result will be like, just waiting now ......

Don’t worry Algo, the important thing here is that you can save your system! I would be feeling terrible if I was at your place. I’m sorry and expect you can get out of this trouble very soon indeed!

I don't know what to say so… because you have already done the job almost to the end. Should we ask another person to do the job or should we rather wait for you? I leave it to a democratic vote.

I vote for you to do the job, cos you have already done a lot. What do you guys think about it?

Just a short note from Taiwan. (net cafe)

Man, I'm back from Spain.. being surrounded by Gaudi's works was totally... like... VIBRATIONAL!! That guy oscilates, seriously..
Anyway, I'm still stranded with no equipment on this island so no need to hurry.
Hope everything goes well tho.
Catcha guys later in Japan.
