Thanks to you all of you again for your opinions and info to this question.
I have another one to throw at you, all i have read are great things about the p100 but from investigating here on the z i get the impression it takes a lot of dsp to run. Can anyone here give some of their real world experience using it and what demand it put on their card/s?

Have to say i don't use any VST effects - some VST instruments but no effects. Any effects i want that aren't Scope will be hardware: Roland RE-501, DC-50, mxr phase100, Podxt. i am considering getting a decent hardware reverb, but am quite happy with MasterVerb Pro for most stuff.

it comes in 3 versions sharing an identical basic sound charcter
full, light on DSP, light on PCI
the 'full' version needs somewhat less than 3 DSPs, the light version half of that
they come in handy when you don't need to tweak all the parameters, which you can do very detailed in the 'full' version.

I have 3 of the old Pulsar Ones, so for me it's 5 Masterverbs maximum
with the P100 I can load 2 additional MVs, so it's similiar to 3 MVs on the PCI bus
a lame PCI performance is no excuse to not get these fine devices... ;)

cheers, Tom

Thanks Mr Arkadin that says a lot about the power of scope effects, i dont have a lot of experience using a lot of the various effects out today from native developers but i am totally content from reading and researching here on the z that there really is no need to go outside the platform to look for effects unless there is something especially specific to your project needs. Reading all the feedback here really makes you feel great about the investment we have all made in the creamware products.

Astroman thanks also for the info, the p100 allows you 3 choices in how to use it for different needs? Thats got to be pretty handy indeed, yea i think im going to break open the piggy bank and get this plug in.
