Frank said how you use effects depends on your "demo concept." I think they'd encourage you to use effects, it just shows off SFP's capabilities more!

hmmm ... I've read so many times : " yeah, this synth demos sound good but it's drown on FX, that must hide something ... "

I'll try to make the synths demos nearly totally dry, however some seconds of the " onboard " effects might not hurt !

On the other hand, I will have problems to make a demo of Vectron dry : it works so much fine with delay ! a little OT : I'd like the excellent FX of the Mini, Prodyssey on every synths ... thanks !

I'd propose the demo of Mini + Masterverb as demo of the Masterverb and keep the Mini demo mostly dry so double dose of Mini hearing !

Same thing for the FX packages ... etc

I've just finished my Lightwave demo. I'll upload it somewhere soon and let's hope it gets on the site

*edit* you can hear it here:
http://wdka.hro.nl/~0531557/King%20of%2 ... 20high.mp3

sort of melancholic ambient...and in 3/4 tempo too!

I forgot all about this until I saw your demo. I'm sure CWA is not on schedule with the website (who ever is?), so how about another week or so ?

What!!?? I've been anxiously waiting for tomorrow!! They wouldn't dare.

Besides, they have to get the site ready for MusikMesse, so I don't imagine it'd get delayed.

Fine one King of Snake !
I stuck to my presets showdown demo philosophy, we'll see ...
Funny, I didn't dig Prisma and Lightwave a lot before and was surpised by the sounds I could get after some deeper explorations and tweaks.

I hope CWA will put more demos beyond the " winner " one, stuff their site with demos as much as they can.

Why not a direct link to our sites ? I can handle it ( for my demos ) and don't bother since a have a fat bandwidth ... those of course who volunteer would be also kind to tell CWA when they can no longer propose a direct link.

Well, maybe they could make a second date for late entries, so the date tommorow stands, and those who still has a few good ideas get a second chance a some more time..... That way everybody gets what they want

no way, the audtion should be today!
and tomorrow i WANT TO KNOW THE RESULTS!!!!

indeed, it would be great it CWA will post all the (decent) demos even without a prize... and if this practice continues even in the following years (i mean... i compose a demo and send it to CWA. if it's judged good they will publish it on their website with my credits...)

Well, business time Thursday has already completed in Germany...when are we supposed to see the results?? I was hoping we'd see something by now. It's the morning where I live...if they don't post results until tomorrow, I have to wait another entire day!

I think they are pretty bussy doing the new webpage. Also, they might want to delay the results till the new page goes official - to draw a lot of attention to the change. Just my thoughts. Hope you all surviwe

It means nothing - those are just my thoughts and attempts to explain a situation.
