I was hoping for feedback from you on this one. Well, I had to have a try at the genre but I've learnt a lot (from others) ready for another attempt in the future.

Perhaps better written as "I'm glad you've had a listen to this one and passed some comments" as opposed to "I was hoping...."

still, here's some more comments:
I just read that this is your first trance track, so of course considering that, it's not a bad effort at all. It's just that (to my tastes) it conforms too much to trance "rules" (sounds used, chords used, arrangement) from years ago, so it sounds very dated to me. This includes the heavy used of filtered/distorted 303's, the standard trance "saw lead" and the too simple kickdrum+hihats drumtrack.
Of course it also depends on which direction you want to take, but I'd avoid using too obvious 303's next time, and go for a deeper, more driving bassline. Couple this with some more percussion (shakers, snare's, toms, hihats, claps, rides, whatever) to get the rhythm section grooving a bit more (remember, this is dance music after all!). Also, you don't have to use a saw lead with minor chords in trance
Not saying you shouldn't, but it's been done. Use the power of your synths to layer things together!
The best advice to give is to listen to some good trance artists, like the aforementioned BT (who pretty much invented the genre).

I agree with the point about the saw lead - Kesuguro's recent upload using guitars testifies to that.
