And you don't have undo function in the BIOS of your computer. At best you'd be able to save/reload some default/optimized/user setup... 8)

there was no undo into typewriters and there is no undo in real life
but there is undo in computers.

so let's use it!! :)

Ofcoarse it makes sense with an undo. It will just be a feature to remember previous settings.

I don't think that not having undo in scope 5 will be a real showstopper. it would just lead to having a release candidate out for a year or more, and no scope5 final to be released soon.
if there is demand for it, and S|C will be made aware of it, they might implement it in a future release. I would just not count on it to be included in scope5.

SC need to get with the program and make undo, mackie controller support and alot better XTC support. imo.
They need to collaborate with bigger plugin makers such as UA etc.
They need to be alot more professional regarding PA.
A cool looking video, demonstrating the Xite is needed too! youtube is a great place for spreading the word!
-i'm talking about a video that THEY made - a professional vidoe.. just like UA made a video about their new cards.
- They may be generating some of hype about the platform.. by delaying and delaying the release of certain products, sending emails out, saying that the product is almost finished, then wating another 6 months before they release it.. but is it the right way to do it?
I dont think so!

I love the platform and my scopecards! But they could improve the software alot.
-and i really doubt SC's PR skills, and thereby i am doubting existence of SC in the long run.

just my two "øre" (danish cents) :)

apply for a job at S|C, and then be a real performer.
if you think your job is done by repeatedly telling what you think they need to do, I'm afraid I have to disappoint you ;)

I don't know - does HARDWARE have an undo/redo function?

I agree that SC needs a good video on the site (or wherever), but I believe they are still short-handed in resources, so it may take some time.

Let's simply say 'Undo' would be plain great but that it's certainly not the ultimate priority now for Scope.

Edit:
Undo means perfect resources cleaning, and perfect interaction with Hardware for me and that's why I personaly think there are other topics S|C needs to focus on... For Now!

it would be interesting a possibiliy to "embed" midi assignment into devices, without having to load a midi-preset every time you load a device (for synths, expecially).

i made a customized midified minimax and pro-5 with SDK 4.5: these had the midi CC assignemnt for each knob directly linked to my controller. it was extremely useful.

but now with 5.0 i'm not able to load these old devices anymore, they are not registered and they give a load-error... i have to wait for the new SDK in order to remake things...

Is there a way to change them once you have embedded them?
I would love to see SDK 5.0, not that I plan on using it, but because I know many guys are dying to see the new atoms and sub modules and get busy building again.
It's no reason to stop using 4.0, but I suppose one would need to re do certain devices because of the difference between the 2 apps.
In XITE-1 I load up an old B2003 made for me with a 2 embedded CC's and it works fine. It actually is loaded as a default device, even the MIDI channel is loaded but can be changed.
I can load a project and no more tinkering around with assignments, but I do keep them in a notepad module as Start Up Assignment just in case. I don't think I will be needing it, but I have had my second XITE-1 update and one never knows what can be enabled or disabled in an upgrade, so until the final release comes the assignment folder stays in the project...

I am enjoying Scope 5.

I do have a problem when loading
these two reverb effects only.

SC chorus-delay
SC inverse

I seem to get an error stating.
A communication error with pulsar 2 has occurred.

Scope then crashes.
and all other reverbs are working fine.

I do seem to get the occasional blue screen of DEATH with Scope 5.

But over all I like it.

i have sent to soniccore an email with following, hopping that will be included in official scope 5 release.

1. midi controler assignements preset auto load when synths or other modules are loaded, instead of always entering the midi presets to choose the preset desired.

2. pot movement1 problem. jumping on 12o'clock position always instantly before moving to position dragged with mouse movement.

3. midi polyphony increase decrease assignable to midi controller or to keyboard shortcut.

4. device choice to load could be assigned to midi controller button or keyboard shortcuts avoiding routing windows mouse movements, so for example: minimax could be loaded by pressing just a midi controler button, protone bu pressing another..........and so on..

5. assingable to midi preference and settings choices like for example: midi routing... from seq midi source or scope midi source.

6. make assignable to midi all modules functions. some are missing like for example channel change views(1-24 to 24-48)

7. posibility to assign many modules knobs or buttons to 1 midi knob or button.

I concur. Optimizer also doesn't work.
I always use the DAS Comp AI and the DAS Gate because both have SideChaining.
I stick the DAS Gate in a SpaceF insert and then route it with the drop down menu.
You can also get fancy and use the drop down menu from the Record channel.
Because the DAS stuff works really well, I am sure this is fixable.
I'll tell you what, you email Ralf D. and I will also send jpegs and an email. That way they know it's not one person, or an error by that person.
I would like to Sidechain through Optimizer in the future.

Just got a reply and a thank you for the Vinco/Optimaster Sidechain/Insert debacle.
Seems like an easy fix becuase the DAS stuff works prefectly well.
Perhaps a quick fix sometime soon.
It doesn't hurt to bust some balls from time to time.....
